LEXINGTON — A North Carolina man has been charged with multiple sex offenses involving two young brothers, ages 3 and 7.

Douglas Andrew Morrow was arrested Thursday and charged with five counts of felony first-degree sex offense with a child under the age of 13 and two counts of felony indecent liberties with a child. He is in jail under a $500,000 secured bond.

Davidson County Sheriff David Grice said the 28-year-old Morrow was a friend of the boys' family and worked for their father. The sheriff said Morrow would do chores around the family home near the rural community of Tyro and babysit the boys as part of his job. Detectives allege the assaults began Jan. 1 and continued through this month.
