LAURINBURG — Police in Laurinburg have filed charges against a man who they say fired shots into a home and injured an 8-year-old girl.
Lt. Marc Godwin said 23-year-old Phillip John Graham of Laurel Hill was arrested Thursday after an officer stopped a vehicle in which Graham was riding. Police said Graham threw a .45-caliber gun out of the vehicle before it was stopped.
Authorities say Graham fired shots into the home of Krystal Faulk on Sept. 22. Godwin said one bullet struck Faulk's 8-year-old daughter in the arm, He said the girl was asleep in her bed.
The child was taken to Scotland Memorial Hospital where she was treated and released.
Graham is jailed under $65,500 bail. It's not known if he has an attorney.
