RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — The N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles is trying to make it easier for motorists to take care of their business.

DMV offices in Greenville, north Raleigh and west Charlotte are the first to expand their schedules, and each will be open on Saturday.

The offices will be open Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon. Most regular driver license services will be offered, including regular road tests.

Starting Monday, the offices will be open from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. Testing services will be available until 5:30 p.m., but regular road tests won't be administered during rush hour.

Over the coming months, DMV will announce additional offices offering extended hours. The next phase begins with Saturday hours on April 6 at the south Durham, south Fayetteville and north Charlotte offices.
