WENDELL — Deputies in Wake County have arrested a man in connection with the shooting deaths of a man and woman near Wendell.

Capt. Jimmy Stevens said when sheriff's deputies responded to a call Wednesday night about a shooting, they found a man and a woman dead and a second woman wounded.

Investigators identified the victims as 57-year-old Angelia Smith Taylor and 66-year-old Sylvester Taylor. Deputies said 32-year-old Latonya Holden was taken to WakeMed in Raleigh.

Three children inside the home were unharmed.

Search dogs tracked 30-year-old Nathan Lorenzo Holden to a field, where they say he fired on deputies and K-9 handlers before he was taken into custody.

Nathan Holden is charged with murder and is being held in the Wake County jail. It's not known if he has an attorney.
