CLINTON — Sampson County sheriff's deputies are investigating the shooting death of a man at a home near Clinton.
Sheriff's Capt. Eric Pope says the name of the victim has not been released while relatives are notified.
Deputies were called to the home about 10 miles south of Clinton shortly after 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Deputies say when they arrived, a relative of the victim was performing CPR.
Pope says no one else was hurt.
No other details were immediately available Wednesday.
