CHAPEL HILL — The chief executive officer of Habitat for Humanity International will talk about how to find your passion during a speech at his alma mater, the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.

CEO Jonathan Reckford is speaking at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Sonja Haynes Stone Center for Black Culture and History. He graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1984 with a degree in political science.

He began his career on Wall Street but soon decided that wasn't what he wanted to do. He now leads Habitat, which has helped find or build shelter for more than 2.5 million people in more than 100 countries.

His speech is part of the Eve Marie Carson Memorial Speaker Series. Carson was student body president when she was murdered in March 2008.
