GREENVILLE, N.C. (AP) — The mother of a woman killed while stopped at a Greenville intersection says she knows the three people arrested in her daughter's death and spoke to them hours before she was killed.
Police say 26-year-old Ceira Clark was shot in the chest around 3:30 a.m. Aug. 17 from a car that pulled up beside her. Investigators say she tried to drive away, but crashed into a pole and died a short time later at the hospital.
Authorities are releasing few details about the shooting, including why Clark might have been targeted. Three people were arrested Thursday and charged with murder.
Clark's mother says she knows all three suspects. She says she wants the men to explain why they thought they had to kill her daughter.
