RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — North Carolina gubernatorial candidate Bill Faison and his political aide weren't injured during an automobile accident on the campaign trail.
Faison aide Jeanne Bonds said Saturday the two were involved in what she called a "minor fender bender" with another car Friday evening in eastern Wake County. She said they were returning from a forum in Greenville and had stopped by the home of Faison's cousin to pick up campaign supplies on the way back when the accident occurred.
Bonds said Faison was cited by police for a moving violation.
Faison is a state House member from Orange County and one of six Democratic candidates running in Tuesday's primary.
