DURHAM, N.C. (AP) — Durham County's district attorney is in a fight for her job at a hearing deciding whether she should be removed from office after accusing a senior judge of corruption.

A hearing set for Monday is to decide whether Durham District Attorney Tracey Cline wrongly damaged the court system's reputation for equal justice.

Cline has raised serious misconduct claims against Superior Court Judge Orlando Hudson over the past three months, saying Durham's senior judge is biased against her and should be removed from all criminal cases.

The News & Observer of Raleigh reports (http://bit.ly/yfG38i) a hearing to remove a district attorney has happened only once before, after a white DA in New Hanover County used a racial slur in a bar against a black man nearly two decades ago.
