ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. (AP) — Police say two people have been charged in the death of a man at a Rocky Mount motel.

Thirty-four-year-old William Richard Gingras and 21-year-old Natasha Maria North have been charged with first-degree murder and common law robbery.

Forty-year-old Earl Armstrong of Nashville was found tied up next to a bed in a motel on Thursday. The motel owner says Armstrong had rented the room at the motel.

An autopsy is being conducted to determine how Armstrong died.

One of the suspects was found on a surveillance camera and the two were arrested in Weldon. They are being held in the Nash County jail. It was not clear if they have attorneys.
