WANCHESE — The Coast Guard has suspended the search for a boater missing in Dare County for more than a week.
The Coast Guard says 51-year-old Jeffrey Paul McCusker has been missing since Jan. 31. His vehicle had been found at a boat landing near Wanchese.
The Coast Guard says McCusker had been in a 15-foot boat.
Sheriff's deputies found his wallet and driver's license in the vehicle.
A helicopter from Coast Guard Air Station Elizabeth City and a boat from Coast Guard Station Oregon Inlet at Nags Head had been searching for the man.
