LENIOR — A Morganton man has been arrested in the fatal assault of another man in Lenoir last month.
Twenty-four-year-old Cory Travis Vanover is charged with first-degree murder.
The body of 28-year-old Wade Michael Taylor Jr. was found behind a shopping center on Jan. 24.
Investigators say Taylor had been beaten.
Vanover was expected to be in court for a first appearance on Thursday. It was not clear if he has an attorney.
