RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — Amtrak passenger service in North Carolina will undergo a schedule change over the next month as CSX performs track work.
The N.C. Department of Transportation says on Mondays through Thursdays beginning Oct. 14 and lasting through Nov. 14, Carolinian trains 79 and 80 between Raleigh and New York will be cancelled. The trains will operate on a normal schedule on Friday, Saturday and Sunday during the period, and will continue on a normal schedule between Charlotte and Raleigh.
During the work, alternate bus service will be provided for passengers traveling from Raleigh to Selma, Wilson or Rocky Mount. Alternate bus service will also be provided for passengers traveling from Rocky Mount, Wilson or Selma to Raleigh.
