WILSON, N.C. (AP) — Wilson police aren't optimistic that the owner of an abandoned 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee will step forward. That's because they found about 103 pounds of cocaine inside it. .

The Wilson Daily Times reported (http://bit.ly/xrMW8X) that officials believe the cocaine weighing about 47 kilos has a street value of $1.5 million.

Police Capt. Kendra Howell says police haven't arrested anyone.

In January, police began investigating illegal narcotics activity, which led to the discovery of the Jeep loaded with tightly bound packages of white, powder cocaine.

Police say they're keeping details about the discovery vague on purpose so they don't jeopardize the investigation or endanger anyone.
