Speak Up: Where's the mail going?
Sunday, February 18, 2018
I am concerned about the efficiency of the U.S. Postal service.
They seem to be either losing, misplacing or delivering to a wrong address.
I was supposed to receive a prescription for one of my medications by mail in February 2017.
According to the postal service, they received it initially and gave it a tracking number.
However the package then disappeared from their system.
I received it one year later, February 2018.
I bought a special Christmas card for a relative, mailed it on Dec. 9, 2017 to Greenville N.C.
She has never received it.
My year end IRA statement from an out-of-state company was mailed to me Jan. 22, 2018.
I have not received it.
A few weeks ago, a Rocky Mount resident's utility payment addressed to the city of Rocky Mount was delivered to me in my mailbox.
The address was about one mile from where I live.
I am getting very uneasy about the safety of my mail.
My zip code is 27803 and I live inside the city of Rocky Mount.
