Speak Up: Poor reading

I heard on the radio the other day that there is a big percentage of college athletes, football and basketball players in particular, who couldn't even read at a third grade level.

How do these teachers think they deserve a raise when these students are getting out of school and cannot even read on a third grade level?

Someone is not doing their job.
