Word Tabernacle Church Care Divisional Director Jackie Jenkins recently read something that reaffirmed an upcoming event.

Jenkins said that a passage about help being a prayer away is exactly what one should think about prior to attending Saturday’s 3-Hour Prayer Conference: “Three hours, Three Areas, Three Purposes” that will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at Word Tabernacle Church.

“The conference is the Lord’s doing,” Jenkins said. “It wasn’t a realization that we needed to change anything, but getting back to the fact that our house shall be a house of prayer. Prayer has to be at the forefront.”

The session will begin with Word Tabernacle Senior Pastor the Rev. James D. Gailliard’s “Preaching on Prayer” from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

From 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., there will be a “Panel on Prayer.” The panel will feature five ministers, including Andrew Lee (”The Whole Life Must Pray”), Kyle Johnson (”To Be Right, We Must Think Right”), Robert Farmer (”Honesty in Prayer”), O.D. Davis (”In Everything by Prayer”) and Stephanie Battle (”Believing in Prayer”).

The conference will conclude with “The Practice of Prayer,” in which ministers will direct the congregation in prayer for the final hour.

The conference, which will be held in Word Tabernacle Church’s sanctuary, is open to the public, and there is no cost to attend.
