Retired heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield, along with his son, Evan, will be in Roanoke Rapids on March 2 for an event sanctioned by USA Boxing, the governing body for the sport in America.

Holyfield, who last boxed professionally in 2011, will be speaking at Roanoke Rapids Theatre about his career and will be available for pictures and autographs, according to a press release.

There will also be a total of 12 amateur boxing matches at the event, which Holyfield will be attendance for. The fights will be presented by Jasard’s Boxing Club in Weldon.
