Gunman robs pizzeria employees

Two employees from a pizza parlor were robbed Tuesday as they were leaving the store.

The incident occurred about 3:18 a.m. Tuesday morning. Sgt Brad Summerlin of the Rocky Mount Police Department said that two employees of the Domino’s Pizza on the 100 block of Falls at Tar Court left the store after closing up and were accosted by a man in the parking lot who threatened to shoot them and demanded money.

The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash belonging to both the store and the victims, Summerlin said. He then fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a man between 5-foot, 10 inches and six-feet tall and weighing between 180 and 200 pounds.
