Gunman robs restaurant owner

Rocky Mount police are seeking more information in connection with a robbery on Saturday night at Mr. Ribs Restaurant.

The robbery took place about 10:15 p.m. Saturday at the restaurant on the 1200 block of South Wesleyan Boulevard. 

Sgt. Brad Summerlin of the Rocky Mount Police Department said Tuesday that the owner of the restaurant was leaving the building when he was approached in the parking lot by a suspect brandishing a firearm and demanding cash. The suspect then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, Summerlin said.

The suspect is described as a 6-foot tall black man wearing black clothing and with a camouflage bandanna over his face,
