Local police are looking for a thief caught on a security camera stealing security cameras.

The wanted thief broke into Harbor Freight on Sutters Creek Boulevard at 3 a.m. Tuesday. He’s accused of swiping three wireless security systems and a security camera kit with a total value of $1,020, according to police reports.

The thief may have tipped his hand by appearing suspicious to employees while casing the store the day before, according to police.

The report classifies the crime as commercial breaking and entering with forced entry.

Authorities are seeking the public's help in identifying the thief.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to contact Twin County Crime Stoppers at 252-977-1111 or crimestoppers@rockymountnc.gov.
