A Nash County man has been arrested and accused of having child pornography on his computer.

Bruce George Jachmann, 47, of Hunter Hill Road, has been charged with 15 counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor by the N.C. Northeast Regional Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

An investigation into computers containing child pornography at 2900 Hunter Hill Road resulted in Jachmann admitting to possessing the banned material, said Nash County Chief Deputy Brandon Medina. His cellphone and laptop were seized as evidence.

Jachmann received a $400,000 secured bond and had a first appearance in court Thursday.

The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force is a nationwide initiative comprised of federal, state and local law enforcement agencies that investigate computer crimes against children, including child exploitation and child sex trafficking. The N.C. Northeast Regional Task Force is made up of members of the State Bureau of Investigation, the Nash County Sheriff’s Office, the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office and the Winterville Police Department.
