Man wounded in drive-by shooting

A drive-by shooting Monday left one man injured and resulted in damage to both a house and an automobile.

The incident occurred about 10 p.m. Monday on the 1000 block of Calvary Street.

The call came into Rocky Mount police as a possible injury call. When police responded, they found that Al Green, 23, had been struck by gunfire as a result of a drive-by shooting in the house where he was located. The house, which was owned by another person, and an automobile, which belonged to a third party, were also damaged in the attack.

Green was treated for his wounds and police are now following leads as they pursue their investigation of the incident. No suspects have yet been named.
