Two suspects charged in shooting

Rocky Mount police recently arrested two suspects in a recent shooting incident.

Dezmon Bullock, 23, and Alexis Hunter, 23, both were charged with discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle. Rocky Mount police Cpl. Brad Summerlin said both Bullock and Hunter were involved in a confrontation with a 26-year-old man at a local convenience store on Monday night.

Summerlin said they later followed the man when he left the store and shot at his vehicle about 7:19 p.m. Tuesday in the 4000 block of Thomas A. Betts Parkway at Goldrock Road. Summerlin added the victim escaped injury. According to a report, the victim’s Nissan Altima sustained $500 in damages.

Summerlin said after further investigation in which authorities identified the suspects from video surveillance at the convenience store, officers were able to arrest Bullock and Hunter and place them in custody. Summerlin said both Bullock and Hunter were jailed under $50,000 secured bonds.
