Seven charged in heroin bust

Nash County deputies arrested seven suspects Sunday night at a local hotel in connection with an alleged heroin trafficking operation.
Deputies responded about 7 p.m. Sunday to Room 119 of the Super Star Motel on the 3200 block of South Wesleyan Boulevard regarding reports of suspicious activity. There, they made contact with seven occupants of the room and received consent to search the premises.
During the search, deputies said they found and seized five bricks — 250 bindles — of heroin, three grams of marijuana and $359 in cash in various denominations. As a result of the investigation, the seven occupants of the room were arrested and charged with one count each of trafficking opium or heroin, one count of felony maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance and one misdemeanor count of possession marijuana up to a half-ounce.
The suspects charged were Shellie Anne Inscoe, 30, of Rocky Mount; Dominique Deontay McNeil, 23, of Wilson; Lucia Anne Ponce, 26, of Raleigh; Jasmen Terrell Terry, 25, of Rocky Mount; Autumn Hon, 19, of Elm City; Tyone Dean Hardy, 39, of Rocky Mount and Cierra Danielle Corbitt, 28, of Tarboro.
Each suspect was jailed under a $275,000 secured bond in the Nash County Detention Center.
