Three teens charged in home break-in

The Rocky Mount Police Department has arrested a trio of teenagers in connection to a home break-in from last week.

Andrew Wilkins, 16, was charged with breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering. He was given a $1,500 secure bond.

Tiana Dixon, 19, and Dedrick Whitaker, 17, were charged with aiding and abetting a breaking and entering. Dixon received a $3,000 unsecured bond; Whitaker received a $1,000 bond.

Wilkins is accused of breaking into a residence at 1003 Evergreen Road and stealing electronics on Feb. 21.

Police gathered information from interviews and an investigation, which led them to the suspects, said police spokesman Cpl. Brad Summerlin.
