Rocky Mount police are investigating a larcency after a man allegedly stole an undetermined amount of money Friday morning from a local convenience store on U.S. 301.

Rocky Mount police Cpl. Brad Summerlin said a 5-foot, 10-inch white man with a medium build came into the Kanagroo Express at 1830 N. Wesleyan Blvd., snatched money out of the register and fled in a silver automobile, possibly a Hyundai, with tinted windows, bright factory rims with a hubcap missing. Summerlin said there was no weapon involved.
