Boy robbed going home from school

A 15-year-old boy was robbed at gunpoint Monday as he was walking home from school.

The incident was reported to Rocky Mount police about 4:15 Monday. The unidentified juvenile was reportedly walking on the 300 block of Daughtry Street when he was accosted by two men in a dark BMW sports utility vehicle. The two men allegedly pulled up beside the victim and both displayed handguns. They demanded his iPhone and items of personal jewelry and then fled the scene.

One suspect was described as a 6-foot, 1-inch, 190-pound black man with a dark complexion and long dreadlocks. The other was described as a 5-foot, 9-inch, 180-pound black male with a lighter complexion with shoulder-length dreadlocks.
