Police seek suspects in morning shooting

Bullets riddled a home early Wednesday on Tom’s Trail but no one was injured.

Rocky Mount police responded to a call about 1 a.m. Wednesday on the 1800 block of Tom’s Trail. The caller, a 43-year-old woman, reported the sound of gunshots and woke up to find that the home in which she was in had been struck by bullets.

Cpl. Mike Lewis said the police found that several rounds had penetrated the home, which was occupied at the time, but that no one was injured. The incident is still under investigation and Lewis said police are asking for anyone who has information related to the incident to contact the Rocky Mount Police Department.
