Knightdale police are seeking two Rocky Mount residents in connection with an armed robbery of a jewelry store in Knightdale.

The armed robbery took place about 2 p.m. Friday at the the Swift’s Fine Jewelry Store at 210 Hinton Oaks Blvd.

According to the Knightdale Police Department, a man and a woman entered  the store posing as potential customers, and remained inside the business several minutes before pulling a gun and ordering employees to the ground. The couple then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and jewelry.

Detectives named Jaquin Jamal Pratt, 18, and Nikita Shontel Taylor, 25, as suspects. The pair are wanted on charges of armed robbery and kidnapping.

Knightdale police said information from witnesses and law enforcement aided in identifying the suspects.

“Our biggest priority now is locating the suspects and taking them into custody before anyone else is victimized,” Knightdale Police Chief Lawrence Capps said in a statement on the police department’s Facebook page. “We’re even calling on the suspects to mitigate the damage they’ve done by turning themselves in and cooperating with us to bring this matter to a close.”

Authorities said both suspects should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Pratt or Taylor is asked to contact the Knightdale Police Department or a local law enforcement agency.
