Two residents of the Open Fields Assisted Living Facility in Tarboro are facing charges of assault and one faces charges of indecent exposure after an altercation Sunday at the facility.
Lt. R. Mann of the Tarboro Police Department said Talbert Jay Locklear, 46, is accused of exposing himself to Rebecca Irene Eudy, 74, on Sunday night at the assisted living facility. Eudy reportedly struck Locklear in response, and he reportedly struck her in return, officials said. Both residents were taken before the magistrate.
Mann said the magistrate, after hearing both sides of the story, charged them both. Eudy was charged with simple assault and was released after being placed under a $500 unsecured bond.
Locklear was charged with assault on a female and indecent exposure and was also released under a $500 unsecured bond. During the processing, it was discovered that Locklear also faces a charge for assault on a female in connection with an incident in McDowell County. No details about that incident were available.
