Nash man killed in Washington, D.C.

A Nashville man was one of two people killed in a Tuesday shooting in the nation’s capital.

Washington, D.C. police responded to a report of a shooting at 11:58 p.m. on the 6200 block of Eighth Street in the Brightwood neighborhood. When they arrived, they found three men suffering from gunshot wounds. One of the three men was identified Thursday as Sefjuan Jones, 25, of Nashville.

According to a report from the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Police, Jones was pronounced dead at an unidentified hospital in Washington, D.C. The other man was identified as Renard March, 25, of Northwest, D.C., who also died from his wounds. A third, unidentified man suffered non-life-threatening wounds.

The Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Police Department is offering a reward of up to $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for the fatal shootings. Anyone with information can contact the department at 202-727-9099.
