Homicide suspect commits suicide, deputies say

The man accused of killing Brian Scott Keen Jr. Sunday night in Nash County is dead.
The Nash County Sheriff’s Office on Monday said law enforcement officers found Stell dead in “an undisclosed cemetery in Halifax County.” A news release said Stell died as a result of suicide, but did not say how Stell killed himself.
Stell had been suspected of killing Keen Sunday night at a home on Grover Drive in Nashville. Nash Emergency Services personnel declared Keen dead at the scene when they arrived. The Sheriff’s Office took out a warrant for Stell’s arrest following the shooting.
No other information was available. The investigation is ongoing and authorities encourage anyone with information about the case is asked to contact Nash County Detective Jonathan Hillis at 252-903-2453.
