Police are seeking help finding a man wanted for an armed robbery earlier this month at a local gas station.

Rocky Mount police responded to a report of an armed robbery at 9:54 p.m. Aug. 3 at the Kangaroo gas station at at 240 S. Wesleyan Blvd. The suspect, described as a black man between 18 and 25 years old, reportedly entered the store armed with a hand gun and demanded money. After the clerk gave the money to the suspect, he reportedly fled on foot in an unknown direction with the money along with candy and soda.

Police on Tuesday released a photograph of the suspect taken from the store’s closed-circuit security camera footage.
