A Rocky Mount man scheduled to face a judge next week for larceny and probation violation charges was arrested again Saturday night, charged with breaking into a local resident’s house.

Police responded to a report of a residential break-in at 11:37 p.m. at a house on the 800 block of Bell Drive. They said the home owner told them someone had broken into the house and taken various items from the house valued at $550, including two laptops worth $450 and a weedeater worth $60. One of the home’s windows sustained damage estimated at $50.

Police arrested a suspect a short time later identified as Thomas Jeffrey Rackley, 33, of Rocky Mount. Rackley was charged with breaking and entering and jailed in the Nash County Detention Center.
