Police seek woman who robbed store

Rocky Mount police are searching for a woman wanted in connection to a robbery that happened early Saturday morning at a local electronics store.

Officers responded to a report of a robbery at 11:37 a.m. at Gamestop on 1581 Benvenue Road. Police said clerks told them a suspect described as a white woman between 30 and 40 years old, standing 5-foot, 6-inches tall and wearing a dark coat entered the store and demanded money. They did not say if the woman was armed.

The clerks gave the woman an undisclosed amount of money before she fled on foot in an unknown direction. Police are asking anyone who sees this woman not to approach her because she could be armed and dangerous.
