The city of Rocky Mount will sponsor a low-cost rabies vaccination clinic from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday at 1101 North Church St. in Rocky Mount.
The vaccination clinic is open to all cats and dogs age fourth months or older. Dr. Bob Cameron of Riverside Veterinary Hospital will perform the vaccinations, which are $5 per pet.
Owners are required to have their pets on leashes.
“Vaccinations are always a good idea because you want to make sure you protect yourself and your animals from potential deadly diseases,” city Animal Control Supervisor Willie Boykin said.
Rabies vaccination clinics have been held annually in Rocky Mount since 2003.
