Police are asking for the public's help in the investigation of a weekend single car crash that killed the driver.
Joy'e Pope, 23, was killed Saturday after the Infiniti G35 he was driving crashed into a tree on South Wesleyan Boulevard headed toward Sharpsburg.
Two passengers, both teenage males, were transported to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. They were in critical condition at last check, said Sgt. Brad Summerlin, public information officer for the Rocky Mount Police Department.
Speed was a factor in the wreck, according to a police report.
Pope has pending court dates in May on previous charges of reckless driving with wanton disregard, exceeding safe speed, running a red light, driving while license revoked and expired tags, according to the state Public Safety Department.
As of right now there's no indication alcohol was involved, Summerlin said.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the wreck or has photos or video to contact the department's Traffic Enforcement and Crash Reconstruction Unit at 252-972-1431.
