Mills collects storm-relief supplies

The Rocky Mount Mills in partnership with Capitol Broadcasting Co. and mills tenants will hold a food drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today to help people impacted by Hurricane Florence

The Rocky Mount Mills will serve as a drop-off location for the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina. The most needed items are toiletries, including personal hygiene supplies such as shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes and hand sanitizer. 

Other needed supplies include blankets and pillows, first-aid items and unopen medicines, high-protein canned meals with pop-top cans such as ravioli, soups and spaghetti, single-serving meals that don’t require refrigeration, single-serving snacks, paper products, adult and children’s diapers, baby formula, cleaning supplies and disinfectant wipes, bottled water, work, utility and rubber gloves and utility knives and flashlights.
