Rocky Mount police have arrested three people in connection with the death of a 19-year-old man found early Saturday morning, while investigators were responding to a shooting at a local hotel, authorities said.

Rocky Mount police Lt. Don Mosely said Kahdeem Hinnant, 18, and Tanesha Hardy, 19, were both charged with first-degree murder, while Garrett Bachelor was charged with accessory after the fact. All three suspects currently are in the Nash County Detention Center, Mosely said.

Police said officers were called to the Executive Inn at 1821 N. Wesleyan Blvd. at 5:24 a.m. Saturday to the report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a 19-year-old man dead at the scene.

Authorities have yet to release the identity of the victim. The incident was Rocky Mount’s fifth homicide this year.
