KODAK, Tenn. (AP) -- Ian Rice homered and had two hits, and Duncan Robinson allowed just three hits over six innings as the Tennessee Smokies defeated the Biloxi Shuckers 5-0 on Sunday.

Robinson (7-4) struck out two and walked one to pick up the win.

Tennessee got on the board first with a run in the fourth inning. After reaching base on a walk, Zack Short scored on a double by Yasiel Balaguert.

The Smokies later added one run in the sixth, two in the seventh, and one in the eighth to finish off the shutout.

Thomas Jankins (9-8) went 6 1/3 innings, allowing three runs and three hits in the Southern League game. He also struck out three and walked two. Wyatt Short pitched 1 2/3 scoreless innings for his second save of the season.

The Shuckers were blanked for the eighth time this season, while the Smokies’ staff recorded their eighth shutout of the year.

Despite the loss, Biloxi is 7-3 against Tennessee this season.
