FORT MYERS, Fla. (AP) -- Sean Poppen allowed just five hits over 6 1/3 innings, leading the Fort Myers Miracle over the St. Lucie Mets in a 6-3 win on Sunday.

Poppen (2-0) picked up the win after he struck out five and walked one while allowing one run.

Fort Myers went up 5-0 in the third after Mitchell Kranson hit a two-run single and then scored on a two-run home run by Zander Wiel.

The Miracle tacked on another run in the fifth when Jaylin Davis hit an RBI single, bringing home Kranson.

Justin Dunn (4-6) went five innings, allowing six runs and seven hits in the Florida State League game. He also struck out three and walked two.

St. Lucie missed an additional scoring opportunity in the seventh, when John Mora flew out with the bases loaded to end the inning.

Jhoan Urena doubled and singled twice, scoring two runs for the Mets.

With the win, Fort Myers improved to 7-2 against St. Lucie this season.
