Even if you are not Irish, the music will stir the soul.

The Tar River Chorus will celebrate St. Patrick's Day with dinner and Irish and Celtic music on March 17 at Benvenue Country Club.

Chorus conductor Michael Glasgow will lead the chorus accompanied by the Tar River String Quartet and Sally Moseley at the piano along with percussion.

A few of the selections will include "A Gaelic Blessing," "Paddy Works On The Railway," "Old Devil Moon" from "Finians Rainbow" and "You Raise Me Up."

The program will also include lively toe tapping pieces that have been performed by The Celtic Women.

Local residents are urged to put on their green and enjoy an evening of dinner and music with Tar River Chorus presented by the Tar River Orchestra and Chorus League. Adult tickets are $50 and children are $15. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the festivities start at 6 p.m.
