Letter to the Editor: Economy says vote Allison
Wednesday, October 17, 2018
It is often said that people vote with their feet and their wallet. If so and you are happy with the economy under President Trump, then vote for Roger Allison for Congress District One.
Numbers don’t lie. I am doing better economically and suspect that you are doing better, too. The economy is booming. As a successful businessman and patriot, it is clear that Trump is rocking it. All aspects of the economy are on the table: Trade, jobs, industry — and his administration in a little under two years has accomplished a lot.
Taxes are lower. Wages are up. The stock market is up 27 percent. August jobs increased by 201,000. GDP grew 4.1 percent. GDP rate is higher than unemployment rate for first time. Jobs created: Four million. Consumer confidence at 18-year high. Women’s unemployment at 65-year low. African, Hispanic and Asian-American unemployment is the lowest ever. Unemployment rate is 3.7 percent, lowest since 1969.
Newt Gingrich recently stated, “The choice this fall is whether Americans want the Left’s universe of open borders and higher taxes or the GOP’s universe of more jobs, higher wages and policies that keep Americans safe.”
The choice is yours. I am sticking with this Republican president, House of Representatives and Senate. Vote Republican. Vote for Roger Allison for Congress. Send G.K. Butterfield into retirement. He needs a rest.
