Letter to the Editor: Tax reform will create new jobs, put more money in pockets

Wednesday, January 17, 2018

Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi referred to the tax reform bill as Armageddon.

Waste Management is giving two thousand dollar special bonuses to nearly 34,000 employees in North America, citing tax reform.

Eighty-one companies, because of the Tax Reform bill, have announced bonuses and wage hikes for their employees. Does that sound like Armageddon?

Nancy is now referring to the wage hikes and bonuses as crumbs.

Does a family raising a family on less than $50,000 a year think a $2,000 bonus or three dollars an hour pay raise is crumbs?

There are 75 million people enrolled on Medicaid and 28 million are able-bodied adults. The program is costing states thirty percent of their budgets.

How do you think the one out of five Americans who are on Medicaid will feel about higher wages and more jobs since they can now be required to work to receive Medicaid if physically able?

Everyone should be welcoming the new jobs and higher wages that are being created as a result of Tax Reform. It is a win; win for all involved unless your agenda is dependent on a large impoverish group of citizens.

Since the implementation of DACA in June 2012, over 580,000 immigrants from 195 different countries have applied to the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, which offers work authorization and temporary protection from deportation to unauthorized immigrants who came to the U.S. as children.

President Trump knowing he had no authority to deal with the DACA program put it in the hands of Congress where it belongs.

Now the Democrats are threatening a government shutdown if DACA is not passed.

The Dems and Rinos on the hill say it is unfair to send them back to their less desirable countries. Why is that unfair when (1) they are illegal, (2) they are costing Americans $6.2 billion a year, (3) our young adults will have to compete against them in the jobs market?

In Article One of our Constitution it states: All legislative powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.

The United States Congress would not pass the Dream Act, so former President Obama decreed DACA instead.

President Trump has made it clear if a deal on DACA is made it will have to include a border wall, an end to chain migration and Visa Lottery.

Yet six RINO congressmen brought him an immigration bill that denied him the necessary tools for National security and would grant illegal DACA recipients legality.

Did President Trump use the words Dick Durban said he used to describe the countries these Visa Lottery recipients are coming from? Not all in the meeting heard that language.

Giving the lies I have seen on videos recently that Durban has told, I will not take his word for it.

In 2005, Durban compared U.S. troops to Nazis. Did you hear a raucous over that remark or when Hillary referred to the vast majority of Trump supporters as deplorables? Is it OK to degrade a vast majority of America and not be able to speak the truth about another country?

I have seen pictures of the horrible conditions in these places. How would those who are trying to leave their country to come to America describe the conditions they want to leave?

If the citizens there are not willing to stand up and take their country away from their corrupt leaders why should we welcome them with open arms, considering the treasure and lives Americans have sacrificed to be who we are.

The Dems and Rinos on the hill have had several opportunities to deal with illegal immigration and have done nothing. Apparently they don’t want to solve the problem because Democrats have used illegal immigration as a political tool for decades. If they lose that tool the only one left in their bag will be the fictitious race card.
