N.C. State commits Zonovan Knight and Shyheim Battle were picked for the 2018 Shrine Bowl roster, it was announced on Sunday afternoon.

Knight (Southern Nash) and Battle (Rocky Mount High) were the only two from the Twin Counties picked to be a part of the team.

The 2018 Shrine Bowl is the 82nd version of the game between North and South Carolina, and will take place on Dec. 15 at Wofford College in Spartanburg, S.C. with a 1 p.m. kickoff.

Should either the Firebirds or the Gryphons reach the 3-A state championship, it is unlikely either Battle or Knight would make the trip to South Carolina, because the finals are to be scheduled from Dec. 14-15.
