Two new physicians have joined Vidant Multispecialty Clinic in Tarboro.
Dr. Paul R. Woodard, an internal medicine physician, manages blood pressure problems, diabetes, psychiatric issues and other chronic conditions.
Dr. Ramesh Mishra, an internal medicine physician, offers expertise in dealing with blood pressure issues, diabetes and other health issues. He also provides pre-operative risk assessments, disease screenings and strategies to help you maintain your best health.
Woodard trained at Vidant Medical Center and The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University, where he learned first-hand the health needs of eastern North Carolina. He has family ties to the community.
“My mother was born in Tarboro and I have spent much of my life in the eastern part of the state,” Woodard said. “I am thankful to have the opportunity to serve its fine people.”
Woodard joins Dr. Donneshia Moore in the internal medicine clinic, which is a nationally certified patient-centered medical home. This designation demonstrates the health care team’s commitment to providing primary care that’s comprehensive, well-coordinated, easy to access and of high quality.
Mishra completed residency training in medical imaging and nuclear medicine at Jilin University in Changchun, China, followed by an internal medicine residency at New York Medical College in New York City. He joins Drs. Karen Coward, Jermaine Joefield and Kalind Parashar in the practice.
“I am excited to join Vidant Medical Group,” Mishra said, “where I will be working together with a dedicated team and continuing to provide high quality care in the region.”
The practice is located at 101 Clinic Drive. Call 252-824-5035 to schedule an appointment.
