Gunfire damages local tire shop, vehicles

It was no April Fool's Day prank when someone shot up the Goodyear Tire on Stone Rose Drive in Rocky Mount.

Police are investigating the April 1 aggravated assault case in which a unknown perpitrator shot into the business while it was occupied. Struck by bullets were a 1998 GMC C1500, a 2008 Chevy Uplander and the building for a total of $2,300 in damaged property.
