Gunfire damages door to local motel room

Rocky Mount police are investigating gunfire Wednesday that damaged the door of a local hotel room.

The incident occurred about 9:51 p.m. Wednesday at the Executive Inn on the 1800 block of North Wesleyan Boulevard. As of now, police are investigating the incident as an aggravated assault as the room was occupied by a 30-year-old man. No one was injured during the incident and Rocky Mount police recovered several shell casings and projectiles at the scene.

4200 block of North Wesleyan Boulevard; stolen, iPhone.

300 block of Cokey Road; stolen, cash, headphone case, food stamp cards.


500 block Park Avenue; stolen, stereo, cell phone, air rifle.

500 block Park Avenue; stolen, clothing.


2011 Kia Sorento on the 100 block of St. Francis Court; stolen, handgun.

2015 Chevrolet Cruz on the 3000 block of Lewy Lane; stolen, handgun.


2010 Honda Accord on the 100 block of Timberlane Drive.

2017 Polaris Slingshot on the 1000 block of Old Forge Road.


2017 Nissan Sentra on the 800 block of Noell Lane.

2008 Chevrolet Tahoe on the 1300 block of Jeffreys Road.
