Police seek suspects in lingerie store theft

The Rocky Mount Police Department is investigating the theft last week of more than $4,000 in panties and other items from Victoria's Secret.

An unknown suspect shoplifted $4039.85 in merchandise from the store between 6:30 and 7:20 p.m. Tuesday.

Among the items taken were 20 panties, a jacket, two pairs of pants, one set of leggings, one set of slides and two shirts.

Anyone with information about any crime in the area is asked to contact Twin County Crime Stoppers at 252-977-1111 or crimestoppers@rockymountnc.gov. Text a tip to police at 274637 by beginning messages with RMPOL to direct the tip to the Rocky Mount Police Department and type up to 155 characters about the information.

Rocky Mount police also investigated the following incidents this week:


400 block of East Highland Avenue; two metal porch chairs valued at $150.

100 block of Overlook Drive; stolen, cellphone valued at $50.

1100 block of N. Wesleyan Blvd., stolen two debit cards valued at $400.

900 block of Tyan Street; stolen push mower and weed eater valued at $151.


3700 block of Loblolly Drive; stolen, jewelry, pocketbooks, debit cards, wallets, cash and more valued at more than $20,000.


2002 Ford Mustang on the 800 block of Battle Park Lane.

2017 Nissan Altima on the 100 block of W. Grand Avenue.
